Description - Duplicate Image Grouper

First, lets tell DIG what kind of Multimedia you want it to look for. Do this by clicking the Media type folder icons along the top right of the application. The folder icons are in this order, Images, Audio, and finally video. You can select one, two, or all media types there. But you must select at least one. Now, lets tell DIG where to look for this duplicate multimedia. Towards the center, of the top of DIG, find and click the "Select Location" button. This will give you a browse for folder dialog from which you can choose a location. You can select a complete drive by clicking the drive letter, and then clicking OK. Or if you have multiple drives, you can select "My Computer" and click OK. Although "My Computer" is selectable, we recommend against using it for scanning. Rather than telling DIG to look at your entire drive, every partition, every multimedia file, try to Focus your search towards an area you know where multimedia exists. For example, you may have created a folder named "Archive", which contains sub Folders named "Vids", "Music", and "Pics". Because pointing the scan here would be more focused towards sorting your collection, we recommend scanning "Archive" top achieve this. Scanning "My Computer" will undoubtedly bring up duplicates which should not be removed due to them being system, or program files required for a application to run properly. Again, keep your scan Locations focused. Now that DIG has a media type to look for in a defined location, lets start your scan. Click the "Start Duplicate Search" button. The scan will begin, and Progress of the scan will be displayed along the bottom of the application. The scan takes a moment, depending on the size of drive(s) it is scanning, and the amount of multimedia it finds. When the scan is finished, the bottom of the application will either tell you that there has been 0 duplicates found, or the white area of the application will be populated with items in list format.
